Mt Tabor Bungalow
The Owners of this graceful home on Mt Tabor love to cook, especially handmade pizza. This was hard to do in the original kitchen, which was cramped and interrupted by too many doors (typical of century-old bungalow kitchens).
By annexing a side porch and an eating nook, the kitchen was doubled in size. Circulation through the space became simplified to one side only, leaving room for cooks to work on the other, with generous counter space augmented by a central island. A specialty pizza oven anchors a focal corner, and beer on tap makes it hard to leave the room. The Owners’ love of color and pattern comes to life in their selected materials and fixtures, bathed in generous daylight from a new series of windows.
A great plan and excellent execution. Thanks! Come over and take some photos, have a slice of pizza and a cold draft.
